INFORMED DECISIONS CORP.™ ANNOUNCES AVAILABILITY OF CASHNET® COMMERCE SUITE VERSION 6

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Alameda , CA., November 8, 2002 – Informed Decisions Corp.™ (IDC) today announced limited availability of its newest release of the popular CASHNet ® Commerce Suite. Version 6 of the CASHNet Commerce Suite reflects the functionality, operational excellence, and best practices IDC has developed and helped implement in over 14 years of working with some of America 's most innovative institutions.

“Our products are developed from the perspective of the professional university business officer,” said Dan Peterson, President of IDC. “With CASHNet Version 6, IDC worked closely with a Customer Advisory Board (CAB) that had members from institutions across the nation. The CAB members provided valuable guidance and suggestions for optimal ease of use in the new release.”

Version 6 of the CASHNet Payment Processing System is Java based, allowing universities and colleges greater platform independence and integration with ERP applications from other providers, including PeopleSoft, Datatel, SCT, and campus homegrown systems. “The technology architecture is modular with high-availability design. It unifies campus business systems, and streamlines business operations,” said Mark Tancil, IDC’s Director of Product Development.

“Java has quickly become the technology of choice in higher education,” said Mr. Peterson. “With Version 6 of CASHNet, we completely embraced the flexibility and integration that Java brings to our product architecture. This new architecture extends our industry leadership in modular, high-availability commerce systems. Our customers benefit more than ever from comprehensive tools that provide business offices centralized control and audit capabilities while allowing campus business units the autonomy to innovate and improve campus processes and service levels.”

The Suite is designed with a highly intuitive interface and 24x7 availability. It will be compatible with Informix, Oracle and SQL Server databases. The first installation of CASHNet Version 6 is scheduled for December 2 at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. General release is scheduled for the first quarter in 2003.

“The CASHNet Commerce Suite offers innovation for the entire campus community,” said Mr. Peterson. “Business offices can accept all payment types, whether credit card, Campus 1-Card, or ACH electronic checks. At the same time, students and parents can access the system both in-line and online, via the telephone or via the web. Since all data collected, whether online or in-line, becomes part of the same database, managers, directors, and internal audit can easily assess various components of their business office operation.”

“While the focus of CASHNet may be said to be innovation for users, there’s a similarly strong emphasis on security,” said Mr. Tancil. “CASHNet makes extensive use of encryption technology. This includes all log files, key data, and all server-to-server communication.“

" CASHNet was by far one of the easiest and best implementations we have ever experienced. Once we understood the CASHNet terminology, and how to translate it into ours, it was smooth sailing. Throughout the setup and installation process requested changes were done very quickly and the CASHNet staff was responsive and effective."
