Dan Peterson, President and CEO, CASHNet
Welcome to the CASHNet Summit 2009! Dan will be welcoming you all to our annual users group meeting, our 13th. For any of you who have not yet met Dan, hearing him speak is an absolute treat; we guarantee you will enjoy his presentation.
Dan has been the CEO of CASHNet since 1984, when we founded the company to develop innovative payment processing and customer service systems for higher education. Dan is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley; his work for the past 40 years as a software engineer, consultant and business executive has given him a unique perspective on the interrelationships between technology and organizational behavior.

Everything You Wanted to Know ACH but Were Afraid to Ask

Does your school process ACH (electronic check) payments or disburse financial aid with the eRefund module? Do you know the difference between an ARC and a POP? Do you know the authentication requirements for WEB transactions? Do you know which types of checks are eligible for conversion at the point-of-sale, or how long a receiving bank has to reject an ACH item? Do the new IAT rules affect you? This session will help you understand these issues and more.
Patty Presta, AAP, is Vice President of Education at WesPay and has conducted ACH training for 10 years and has presented at a number of CASHNet Summits. Her responsibilities include training financial institutions through live workshops, teleseminars, and webcasts, as well as consulting on such topics as ACH Origination, Risk Management and other electronic payment-related issues.

CASHNet Enhancements
This is your chance to vote for what new features and capabilities will be added to CASHNet. Attendees will receive a list of several enhancements that have been requested by their peers and will have the opportunity to discuss, debate, and cast their votes. The winning items will be included in an upcoming CASHNet release in 2010.

Mark Davies has been with CASHNet for over 15 years. He initially worked as a software engineer and played a lead role in developing several products ranging from CASHNet version 5 to the MyPaymentPlan module of CASHNet.com. Now in the role of Director of Product Management, Mark determines the priorities, schedules and requirements for changes to the CASHNet product line.

Birds of a Feather Sessions
Have the opportunity to join with like-minded schools as we offer a couple of Birds sessions. Roundtable discussions will center on topics of interest to attendees, such as interfacing with Banner’s TBRDEPO table. The sessions will be moderated jointly by a CASHNet staffer and customer. We are still taking ideas for topics to discuss as well!
