CASHNet ePayment
School
San Diego State University

The partnership between San Diego State University (SDSU) and CASHNet began in 1993 with the installation of CASHNet Cashiering. SDSU is the largest University in the California State System, serving an annual student enrollment of over 33,000. SDSU required a commerce solution that would improve student service, take work out of the business office and save the University money with credit card costs. With CASHNet :

  • 37% of SDSU's students have moved from inline to online - using CASHNet ePayment to pay their student and non-student fees on the web.
  • SDSU transitioned smoothly from never accepting credit cards to accepting credit card payments on the web with the simplicity of CASHNet ePayment.
  • SDSU dramatically improved payment processing time, saving the school in overtime staff expenses and number of temporary staff during peak registration.
  • SDSU no longer pays the credit card transaction fees - saving the institution over $500,000 a year.

How would you rate the system's ability to inter-operate with other university systems?
How would you rate vendor's responsiveness in emergency situations?
How would you rate vendor support staff interpersonal skills?

In addition, students are able to access their student bill online to review their account history. SDSU cashiers are also notified when the student is near to or exceeds the IRS 1098T requirement and is immediately taken to the required IRS forms for the student to complete.
