School
California State University - Fullerton

CSU Fullerton's (CSUF) primary objective was to re-engineer cash processes on campus. Various locations and departments were accepting payments and the university was concerned with the funds being compromised as these funds were handled by more than one person. The University serves a student population of over 28,000.

In Feb 1997, CSUF installed both CASHNet's Cashiering and CASHNet eMarket's Transaction Gateway solutions. The Transaction Gateway soon became the hub of student services on campus - student were able to register, view their student account, make a payment or sign up for an installment payment plan. With CASHNet, CSUF was able to offer a simple and secure way for students to access their accounts to make a payment with a credit card, electronic check or campus 1-card. The University is also using the Transaction Gateway for employee reimbursements and collecting payments for events and conferences.

"We have 73% non-in person transaction for our registration for Fall 2000. This is very exciting. This 73% of our students are using other alternatives to make payments other than standing in line. The number of mailing payments.dropped to 3% and that is extremely exciting."

Elahe Amani, Associate Director
CSU Fullerton

Campus Administrator's were able to quickly identify this shift in student behavior by routinely running payment detail reports. CSUF was able to react immediately - reducing administrative labor and administrative costs at the bursar's office.

" Today marks a new milestone for the
Student Financial
Services office. We will Go-Live with CASHNet for PeopleSoft student
account payments, Pinnacle A/R payments and departmental deposits. Substantial improvements in functionality have been achieved.. Please join
me in congratulating the CASHNet Implementation Team "
